Stop mailing out engraving work (and the margin with it).

Hybrid CNC mill + fiber laser for independent Canadian jewellers.
Your existing staff can run it by the end of day one.

See what it makes ↓

You used to choose between a mill and a laser. Now you don't.

Janus combines a full CNC engraver and a fiber laser in one bench-scale machine. Clamp the piece once, see the artwork on the built-in camera, and let it run both passes in a single job.
No re-fixturing, no guessing at alignment, no walking across the shop to a second box.

Mill a signet face, then laser the monogram in the same clamp.

Used to be two setups or an outsource job.

Engrave a wedding band interior and add outside detail in one run.

Used to mean mailing the interior out or tying up a second machine.

Cut a medal blank from sheet, then mark the design immediately.

Used to mean saw-cut blanks plus a separate laser pass.

Every time you ship a job out or set it up twice, you pay in time, stress, and margin.

This is what four minutes looks like.

01

No dedicated operator. No design degree. No excuses.

If they can run your POS, they can run Janus.

02

Every Janus purchase includes a full-day on-site master class. Not a webinar. Not a PDF. Stygvir’s team comes to your store and trains your existing staff on your jobs, with your materials, until they can run production unsupervised. No new hire, no ‘CNC specialist’.

03

We don’t teach you what the buttons do. You’d figure that out in an afternoon. We teach you how to get results: which feeds and speeds work on 14K yellow vs. 316 surgical steel, how to fixture a wedding band so the interior engraving lands centered every time, how to set up batch runs so your sales staff can queue 10 dog tags between customers.

04

Part of that training covers modern AI image-to-engrave workflows, tailored specifically for Janus. Not generic AI art, but engravable vectors with clean linework at the right detail for metal. Your staff learns a simple recipe to go from a customer’s phone photo to a ready-to-engrave file in one session.

05

If your team isn’t confident by the end of day one, we stay until they are. Our time, not yours.

▸  Full-day, on-site masterclass included with purchase.

▸  Sales staff can operate it, not just a technician.

▸  AI image-to-engrave workflow included.

▸  Ongoing support post-training.

06

That’s who runs it. Next question is where it fits.

One machine. Half the floor space.

Janus replaces a dedicated CNC engraver and a dedicated fiber laser in a single bench-scale footprint. At just 55 × 60 cm, it sits on the same size bench as your polishing motor.

You know who runs it and where it fits. Next question is how fast it pays for itself.

When does Janus pay for itself in your store?

These defaults are based on conservative numbers from real Canadian shops. Change anything. Leave what you don't know.

Janus, all-in $42,000CAD or ~$700/month, lease-to-own

We'll factor in tax credits where your province offers them.

You stop sending 8 rings out each month, capture $750 in new engraving work, and add $800 in counter-side personalisation. Total benefit before the lease: $2,350/month. Net of payment and tax credits, that's $1,750/month back in the till. At this rate, Janus pays for itself in about 24 months.

We've kept these defaults deliberately conservative. Most shops do more once they start actually offering and promoting engraving.

Questions jewellers ask us

Can it do inside-ring engraving?

Toggle answer

Yes. Wedding bands, engagement rings, signet rings. The rotary vise holds the ring while the laser marks the interior surface. A typical inscription on a gold band is about a four-minute job once it's fixtured. We'll do this live on your demo.

What metals does it work with?

Toggle answer

If you sell it, Janus almost certainly engraves it. Gold (10K through 24K), platinum, palladium, silver, stainless steel, titanium, brass, copper. On the demo, tell us what you work with most and we'll run those materials.

Does it do bangles and bracelets?

Toggle answer

Yes. Flat bracelets go in the flat clamp. Rings and bangles go in the rotary, which handles both inside and outside surfaces. If you've got unusual pieces, show us photos before the demo and we'll confirm fixturing options.

How hard is the software to use?

Toggle answer

If your staff can run your point-of-sale, they can run Janus. You import or choose a design, pick the material from a dropdown, place it using the camera view, and press start. No G-code, no coordinates, no CAD degree.

How long before we're running paid jobs?

Toggle answer

Most shops are running paid jobs by the afternoon of the training day. We train your team on your jobs and materials, and if they're not confident by the end of day one, we stay until they are. Our time, not yours.

What happens if it breaks?

Toggle answer

You call us in Canada, not a call center overseas. Janus comes with a 2-year parts and labour warranty. We respond within hours, and most issues are handled remotely. If it needs parts, we stock the common ones here so you're not waiting on overseas shipping.

What's the maintenance like?

Toggle answer

Routine maintenance is light. Keeping the optics clean and the work area clear is usually a matter of minutes per week. We cover the exact schedule and show your staff how to do it during the training day, and it's included in your manual. Annual simple maintenance is on you; every three years, our technician comes in.

What about power, ventilation, and noise?

Toggle answer

Janus runs on standard single-phase power (100V-240V, 50Hz/60Hz). You'll need a small fume extraction setup for certain materials, which we'll spec with you on the quote. Noise is similar to a small CNC or laser welder: fine for a back room or shop workshop.

What if we can't get enough engraving work to justify it?

Toggle answer

That's exactly what the calculator above is for. With conservative defaults (a handful of outsourced jobs, a few new engraving jobs, and modest add-ons), most shops see payback in well under 18 months. On the demo, we'll plug in your numbers together and see if it actually pencils out. If it doesn't, we'll tell you.

Can we try it before we buy?

Toggle answer

That's what the demo is for. We bring finished samples you can hold, then run live jobs in front of you (inside rings, tags, whatever you actually sell) so you can see the full workflow. If we can't do the demo on-site, we do the same thing on a live video call.

We already have a laser or CNC. Does this replace it?

Toggle answer

In many shops, Janus becomes the primary engraving, marking, and cutting machine, and the old gear becomes backup or gets sold. We'll look at what you already own on the demo and be straight with you: sometimes it replaces a box, sometimes it sits alongside what you've got.
